We provide mobile holistic evaluations of gait, balance, and other cognitive functions for older adults in the community. The goal of this study is to predict the risk of falling in community dwellers. Further, we are developing visualization and feedback tools to better educate participants and clinicians.

Involves:

single- and dual-task walking assessments

standing balance under eyes open/closed as well as firm/compliant surfaces

cognitive performance test conducted by a certified researcher

muscle strength assessments

completing a survey on self-report measures involving depression, medications, diet, fall history

Eligibility:

Adults over age 55

Able to ambulate at least 14 feet with or without assistive devices

No visual impairment not correctable with lenses

Compensation:

Participants will receive a wellness checkup and a $20 gift card.

The goal of this study is to inform better return-to-driving decision making following mTBI. Further, we are developing visualization and feedback tools to better educate participants and clinicians.

single- and dual-task walking assessments

standing balance under eyes open/closed as well as firm/compliant surfaces

completing a survey on self-report measures involving concussion history

Eligibility:

Individuals aged 16 or older

Possess a current and valid U.S. driver's license

If diagnosed with a concussion, possessed a physician's diagnosis of the concussion

Compensation:

Participants will receive a $15 gift card.
